SARCASM: Communication Problem- Can we understand better?

Let’s talk today about Sarcasm. Sarcasm is Everywhere in Day-to-Day Interactions, if you believe it or not. Sarcasm is used with really good friends because you feel they should know you well enough to know that you’re kidding and with associates you may not like. Sarcasm attempts may make you sometimes laugh, especially when they had a misunderstanding about you. Life is so much better when we’re laughing, right? Nobody would ever laugh if we all had to say everything directly and precisely as we meant it. You know that sometimes our problems are senseless. Sometimes we are thoughtless. But that’s okay! Everyone has unwise problems and acts stupidly sometimes. There are times when we should take our life seriously and times when we shouldn’t. I generally believe that every situation can be made a little lighter with some jokes, no matter how bad it is. Sometimes when we’re uncomfortable or don’t want to make a mess out of a situation, we sugarcoat it. It’s essential to make friends aware of precisely what annoyed you about it.

I am habitually a straightforward person. Some people around me think it’s good and like it; I am always misunderstood when I try to be nice, but some find it sarcastic. Straightforward people don’t care about their attendance or don’t use sweet words; that’s what hurts others. In other words, I am straightforward about everything, the good, the bad, the satisfaction, and the frustration. I recently communicated with a friend, oh, not a friend yet… He meant that I am a sarcastic person. I used some words that maybe he’s not like and created a misunderstanding about me. It’s possible that I haven’t communicated well enough, or maybe, he didn’t understand well enough. If I was kidding, it shouldn’t hurt. He might be kidding, but he hurt my feelings at the same time. I don’t appreciate it. Because the first time someone used this word for me. It’s pushed me to think about Sarcasm. I continued this thought throughout the few days, and eventually, I started to have an honest conversation with myself. Is Sarcasm ever, okay? How about teasing? Some light hearted teasing can be okay, but for the most part, I should encourage unaffected interaction in my communication and try to get to the heart of the person I was communicating with—what do you think he was trying to cover up with his Sarcasm? Maybe it’s not true.

We all know that not everyone can take honesty. Everyone has their image of self, and it gets shattered. Even I used, to be honest, outspoken, who always was seen as a rude girl, believe me, when I say this, you got to choose who has onset for such honesty else they’ll misunderstand you. But one thing which I learned is that it’s okay to feel misunderstood. There’s only one way to make people understand you better. Do you know what it is? That’s right: It’s communication. If you really want someone to understand you, speaking with them is the best option. But why is this the best option? However, when a person doesn’t want to communicate with you, then? Humans are complicated creatures. Everyone is misunderstood at some point in their life. All of us have a thousand hidden stories to tell. When we look at each other, all we get to see is the very tip of the Crisphead lettuce. We can’t possibly realize each other because we are all too unclear to be defined. We can try to understand each other, but it’s not possible. Not entirely, at least.

The important thing is to stick to our VALUES and ethics. We know we’re being straightforward and sincere. And, as I can say, it’s characteristic many people like about you. Because people can’t read your mind, they don’t know what emotions you’re experiencing, and they don’t know what you think unless you tell them. My only advice to you would be to be authentic. Don’t try to impress everyone. You are not obligated to act in a particular manner to keep them happy because they will never be happy no matter what you do. Don’t try to be excellent. And trust me, friendly people always end up being the least happy. We must understand between being ‘nice’ and ‘kindness.’

It can be not very pleasant when people miss the point and don’t see what we’re really about. But we have to forgive them when this happens, and we can’t expect anyone to know everything about us. It’s better when people don’t know everything about us! Some things are kept mysterious, and I like to keep a few things of myself a secret. Because one reason is that ” Keep the peace.”
